This is belived to be the first known confrontation between man and squirrel. Altough there is no proof, the picture here is an artists conception of the event based on fossil records and some of the earlier cave paintings which were recently discovered.

Here is most likely what happened to the slow witted neanderthal.

Although brief, bits and pieces recovered from this period have been able to give us an understanding into the dawn of the squirrel civilization.
